Andre 3000 Arrested

Andre Benjamin, otherwise known as Andre 3000, Andre 3 Stacks, Possum Aloysius Jenkins, Chamelio Salamander, Ice Cold... Ok... enough with the aliases. Andre 3000 was arrested for speeding. Dude was in his Porsche Carrera going about 109 mph, which was 44 mph over the 65 that was posted on the stretch of I-75 that 3 Stacks turned into the Autobahn.

Nobody was hurt in the Fast and Furious stunt scene, or audition, but 3000 was released after his bond was posted.

Method Man Clears the Smoke

Some of you have heard about Method Man's encounter with the repo man. I didn't want to put my man out there like that by saying... "Oh sh*t Meth's Navigator was repo'd." But I do want to share what he said, and how he's clearing the smoke.

“I knew why they were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ like it is on that TV show [Operation Repo]. I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck. ... Aight.’”

“Myself, I’m a pothead,” he said on the set of a video shoot for his new album, Blackout 2, with Redman. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002.

Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s— because I don’t think like that!”

“I could have easily just written them a check for whatever amount, but no — I waited until they knocked on this door a nd were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here,’ ” he laughed.

“Now I’m thinking we’ve gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together,” the rapper continued. “That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah.

"I’ve found checks from 2005 that have never been opened yet. And we’re talking a significant amount of money! But I never opened [the tax department’s] letters ... so this is how the tax man came to Meth’s house and took his truck. Not because I was broke! I got plenty of money!”

When we referenced the famous Afroman song “Because I Got High,” Method Man just laughed. “Exactly!” he said. “Because I got high, I forgot to pay. It was stupid. I’m an idiot for that."

Dame Dash... Divorced

Dame Dash, the once ever so popular CEO of Roc-A-Fella, and cousin of bombshell Stacy Dash can now add divorced to his list of troubles. Wife of 4 years has filed the papers and is moving on. Dame is on his last legs as some would say.

Dash, who in 2005 sold his stake in Rocawear to Jay-Z for $20 million, owes $2 million in state taxes, and a bank has started foreclosure proceedings on his two Tribeca condos. A Manhattan judge even ordered the city to seize his luxury Chevrolet Tahoe SUV last year when he couldn't make the $714.99 monthly payment. He's also being sued by law firms and landlords for not paying his bills.

Trick Daddy Reveals Disease

As Trick Daddy prepares for the release of his upcoming autobiography, he has revealed that he is also dealing with a serious health issue.

The Miami-bred rapper appeared on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show today (March 23) to promote his autobiography Magic City: Trials of a Native Son.

During the interview, he made the shocking revelation that he suffers from Lupus, an incurable autoimmune disease, which makes the immune system attack the body’s cells and tissue.

Lupus affects all major organs in the human body, including the heart, kidneys and nervous system.

“I went to the doctor like 12 years ago. He took all kinds of tests, because I was trying to get rid of what we call dry skin, she did biopsies and blood tests and swab tests. She told me I have lupus. I am allergic highly to the sun, that’s my worst enemy. It’s like an AK-47 with a double clip on it. I could jeopardize kidney and liver failure from the treatment and the medication.”

Lupus affects African-American and Hispanics in disproportionate numbers, particularly women.

The rapper also learned that a close female friend had the disease, when he noticed a visible change in her appearance.

“A lot of people try to cover it up with regular make up. It makes your skin pigmented. You can go from dark to light and not light to dark. You have to cover it up and conceal it…my mama had 11 children from 10 different men. If she can live with that I know, I can live with this."

What the hell!? 11 shorties from 10 different niggas!?

The disease has already taken the life of prominent Hip-Hop producer James “J. Dilla” Yancey, who died from complications of the disease on February 19, 2006, just three days after his 32nd birthday.

In related news, Trick Daddy also announced he has landed his first major film role in a film that begins shooting next week.

Ghostface and Winter Warz

I was just having a conversation about several Wu Tang affiliates, and I always get a little amped when it comes to Wu. The topic came up of members who are better on other people's joints, but under perform on their own. Meth was mentioned at first, but the cake taker has to be Cappadonna. Once Winter Warz came out, dude was crowned lyrically superior in my book. That had me waiting for a solo joint... then... LACKLUSTER solo album to say the least. Cap is still cool in my book though. Check out Winter Warz... probably one of the hardest Wu affiliated tracks EVER. Every dude on there went in like a porn star.

Diary of a Tired Black Man Review

Tim Alexander created a documentary that goes into the depths of the mind of the Tired Black Man. For all of you people out there who are wondering why are the Brothers going after the white woman… check this flick out. It’s a truthful and honest approach to the delicate situation for many. It gives great perspectives from both men and women. Not a lot of people are comfortable having this conversation, so it was interesting to see what a lot of people have on their minds about the interracial couple.

The documentary takes you on a whirlwind of a ride that will almost leave you annoyed at some of the ways that women think. Not every relationship is as great as those pictures you saw with the two of them smiling and hugged up. The second before the camera flashed they were arguing, and the second after the flash dissolved into space they were back arguing. Pictures sometimes are only worth 2 cents.

A few points from the documentary… Although not the gist of the documentary. Just some things that I found interesting and true.
“Bad Decisions”
Black women say that we can’t date because you’re like my brother, or my best friend. What’s wrong with that? Isn’t the point of finding your partner – to find the person who’s going to be your best friend? Instead you fall for the guy you have nothing in common with. This rationale is a testament to how some women make really bad decisions in deciding whom they are going to date.

“Male Bashing”
Women have too many friends, which is a recipe for destruction. Single women sit around and bash men because they have no man, and they want to make sure that their misery stays with company. The one girl in the group who has a man will let her crew ruin her relationship because of their bitterness and bad advice.

“Arguing is like crack for black women. They know it’s ruining the relationship; they just can’t stop doing it.”

The documentary wasn’t the best documentary in the world… Grammy nominated or anything of that sort, but it was very informative for those who wonder why Black men will show the white woman interest.

Fellas, if you can find this DVD I would suggest you watch it with your woman. Be careful though because it may spark some interesting debates. So, watch at your own risk, and don’t say I didn’t warn you. A solid grade of a B for a documentary.

Kid CuDi to Retire

Kid Cudi for some reason or another can't take the pressures of being a celebrity. I wont call him a star because we just aint that into this dude... yet. He has not even dropped an album yet, and he already claiming to retire (yawn). Whatever nigga. Could be a ploy to get some record sales. Could be serious. I'm not pressed though.

"After the release of my first LP this summer, I am not making any more solo albums," he explained on kidcudi.com. "I am falling back on being an artist. The drama that comes with it is more overwhelming than the s**t I was dealing wit when I was piss poor broke. My friends get mad at me, say I've changed.”

Peace out then homie.

“Muthaf***as talking s**t here and there, spreading rumors, making jokes, trying to judge me, and for what? Does my music poke fun at others? Do I talk s**t about people n my music?” he said, with obvious passion. “I already went to high school once, and got expelled, because it wasn't for me. Joe Budden Responds to Saigon's Signing

After the smoke has cleared, and it's official, Budden had this to say about recent beef battler, Saigon.

"I don't feel anything," Joey explained in a video. "I don't know if he signed there for the same exact reasons that I signed there. It was a great business move on their behalf because if Joe Budden is leaving Amalgam, and they have Peedi Crakk, I'm not sure when his album's coming out, and you got Max B whose tied up in some type of litigation. The same way Joe Budden is gonna come right back and put an album out to build off of Padded Room hype, Amalgam would need to come right back with a project whether it be a Joe Budden project or whatever project it'll be. So, they needed to sign someone. I texted Saigon today and told him congratulations. I told him good move." (Cop Shop Hip Hop)
